I absolutely love all four of the videos with Dan Murphy, they tell us all the story of the grip, back swing, down swing and follow through swing. I watch them multiple time a year to get myself back on track and playing good golf. Thanks Mike.

That's a gift...that he cares enough to understand the hackers of this world; yet is able to easily have a PGA or LPGA tour player's swing to pick apart right in front of him with no problem just as easily is pretty special. I get what he is saying about the " swing arc", but the FEELING is something different, and the feeling is very important to people. For me, I finally ( 3 years now) am hitting the ball flush ( square), and the final straw for me, personally, was the feeling that I was went back away from the ball and straight through the ball. Now I was not trying to do that all the way through the swing, that would be dumb, but the feeling for me was to go straight back from the ball about a foot and make sure I was going straight through the ball another foot. It's a feeling thing.. but I can see how telling people what the club is actually doing will confuse people, because they will actually try to do it!... there is a difference between feeling and what the club is actually doing, and some people that are training end up confusing people and have them thinking what the club is actually doing is what they should actually be doing.

If you have been trying to swing the club head at the target, as I have, and now retrain to swing on an arc, the feel of the swing is as if you are either going to hit a big pull or slice depending on where the face is pointed at impact. You must learn to trust and trust is gained through practice. Of course there is more to the golf swing, but the arc on which the club head travels is an absolute fundamental. Right, Mike?
