This was one of the most brilliantly written and acted on screen romances I've ever seen. It was perfectly paced and beautifully performed. I can think of only one other 'slow burner' that worked this well and that's "Josh and Donna" from "The West Wing". I just wish ABC could have found a way to convince Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic to make either a season 9 or a one off movie to resolve the end of season 8. In fact I'd go so far as to say this was THE best 'police procedural' show of this century so far. Within that genre only CSI (the original Las Vegas show plus Miami) and the original NCIS have come close to getting me so invested in the stories and characters.

Miss this show and seen it just recently from start to finish, however I want to re watch it again now. Good music and the story of Becket and Castle happens to be one of the most remarkable and yet also maddening if how close they get to be together for the first few seasons. Although I must admit I liked the ending as it ended as a happy ending rather than a cliff hanger etc.
