Reasons why Batman doesn't solve "The Murders on Akujikijima" :

1. He's on a time limit, Beatrice can easily make the bodies disappear, and she doesnt kill for fun, making her less likely to be caught.
2. He cant do anything with the bodies, he would have no forensics that would trace back to beatrice.
3. He can't see Beatrice since he isn't allowed to learn magic. How would he know if shes there let alone if she did it?
4. Bringing an external person to help him goes against the point of my edit, its supposed to be a Detective vs Serial Killer.
5. There's nothing tying Beatrice to the Murders, no evidence proving she was even there.

All this besides the point that she has very broken abilities which would halt the investigation until its over.

Honestly, against Beatrice, Batman would at least pretty much figure out how to prevent the ritual to be completed, after the 6 first deaths, he would link the epigraph to the deaths and despiste that is likely that he will not be able to do something against Beatrice, he would predict the witch plans to isolate them and prevent it by logical leap (using the perfect locked rooms to deduce that someone is making mental games to trigger the twilights to occour) maybe he would even suspect Kinzl and interrogate him somehow. If he investigate Kinzo's study, by using his photographic memory to read fast his books, he would get more hints to how overcome the situation, understand what those magical circles means, or even solve the riddle; he would maybe take advantage of Maria's knowledge as well. If he takes the situation seriously, I can see him doing this, in the end, he would probably link Beatrice to everything, so in my opinion, he clears

Batman also have some interesting feats that we should take into account: I don't know the name of the martian, but when he was invisible, Batman noticed him behind him. If we balance the verses (for example, how would Saitama and Ichigo fight, since Saitama doesn't have a soul and he can't even see Ichigo anyway, we bawence them and put them in e qual terms), Batman affinity with magic can pretty much be a big problem here, probably he will be able to see Beatrice at first. Beatrice will not be able to read Batman's mind, if this frustates her, she would fear him what could disturb her plans.

He also would probably be able to defeat Beatrice's furnitures if we consider that gun that Rosa used in the final of the episode 2 as an normal gun.

I just finished the episode 2 of Umineko, btw. Batman mid-high diff. Even if the roullete chooses him, he would be able to deffend himself or even escape by going out the range of the magical circles. Beatrice seems tp have limited power in that time, or limits herself, so Batman always had chances of winning in the first place

The murders of akujikijima are heavily dependant on illogical thinking which batman definitely excels at (mf outsmarts a omniscient god, sorta). That's why even though there might be arguments put against him being able to solve this I believe he definitely will.

My take on why Bruce cannot solve the Rokkenjima murder. I took into account

A. Umineko's established rules in solving these cases
B. Not counting cosmology as that is redundant and not relevant (07th's cosmo is bigger)


Umineko establishes that to solve the murders, you must be IN the catbox, whether invited or stumbled upon it by coincidence also cannot happen as it is literally prohibited to be visited and played upon by withces. Supposing Bruce was invited however, you must be included in the 18 residents present on the island BEFORE it was closed off by the storm. Now Batman will have to rely on his raw intellect and no futuristic tech as Umineko does not allow sci-fi or incredibly advanced tech like satellites and the Bat computer which Batman uses alot. This means there is no foreknowledge involved just a present cat and mouse he cannot win.

Brute forcing to solve the cases (I.e solving them one by one) is impossible as Battler who has read 100 mystery novels every year cannot even solve at least 100 of them and died as seen in his battle against Bernkastel, one can argue that this is Bernkastel's knowledge of different catboxes but she is at this point a grandmaster of Beato's board meaning she has to obey to the rules or Battler kicks her out of there grounding her to the context of BEATO's catbox.

Beato's catbox is filled with infinite possibilities as she made it so tossing alot of sealed bottles detailing the events of Rokkenjima. Even the endings in the manga, anime and VN are just mere POSSIBILITIES in the vast sea of mystery here.

Overall Batman CAN solve a multitude of cases in here, but he's more of a mouse in the backrooms. Just trying and trying, succeeding every now and then but eventually will die either by exhaustion, being stabbed by red truths or reduced to a very powerful theory goat.
