4:40 *FYI this is incorrect* I have had Significant Locations turned OFF for years on a few different iPhones in the studio and Optimized Battery Charging works just fine, always has. You can safely turn Significant Locations OFF and still enjoy OBC. Yw.

I have the 15 Pro Max still, bought in Sept of 2023. It just dropped to 99% battery health a couple weeks ago at 249 cycles, so it has done really well. I use optimize battery charging but do charge to 100% daily.

I want a hardware specific reason why this is locked to CERTAIN models of iPhone when there are multiple phones that can run the latest version of iOS 18.

Our devices already know when we typically charge them and they track usage.

From the start I have always charged my phone to 100% and then promptly removed if from the charger. After a year of use and once a day charging like this, my phone batter percentage is in the high 90 percentile. No issues!
