FC Bayern suffered their second defeat of the Champions League campaign on Wednesday evening. Coach Vincent Kompany's team lost 1-4 (1-3) at FC Barcelona on the third matchday. After going behind early through Raphinha (1st minute), Munich were able to equalize through Harry Kane (18th minute). However, Barcelona were extremely effective and made it 1-4 from Bayern's point of view through Robert Lewandowski (36') and two further goals from Raphinha (45'/56').

We can no longer blame the defense. The tactic of abandoning the full-backs and leaving everything to the center backs and goalkeeper does not always work. The only CBs who are fast and solid enough to implement Kompany's tactics at the moment are KIM and UPA, and no one can easily blame them. Fans need to open their eyes. I love Kompany's tactics, but his big problems seems to be in game adjustment. Although both Flick and Kompany play similar tactics, Flick proved to be better today because he adjusted the tactics midgame whereas Kompany did not.
