I built one for my saw based on your video. It works very well. I also added a clear acrylic top to the right side on the saw with a shelf and cabinet underneath.

Why didn't you take apart the saw and assemble on the base? My skin was crawling when it was on it's end, but the build is great and I'm tempted to do it for my delta now. Also, I love it when guys post their mistakes, it makes me feel normal. Oh, the sound effects are so money man, you don't even know it.

So it’s been a year and I’ve given myself time to think about this. This must have worked out well for you but I wonder why you would choose cedar rather than construction wood for more stability under the heavy table saw. Cedar is soft and lighter than construction lumber, yes? Thanks for the build show and tell.

Overkill? No such thing. No overbuilt frame ever failed, at least when compared to an underbuilt frame - particularly when supporting the weight of a heavy shop tool. Overbuild on!
