Five sea captains and their families have called the shingled cottage home over the last two hundred years… and as its new steward, Kristin was determined to celebrate its longstanding heritage. Her thoughtful redesign honors the home’s rich maritime history with repurposed materials, a stunning whaling mural wrapping the central chimney, and campaign-style decor that nods to the home’s seafaring roots. I love your hallway the dark grey I have on my middle floor. The mural is amazing and gives such atmosphere and I love the dark grey stairs - I have dark cream with a sisal runner to stop slippage. Great house and love the shell wreath on the door.
