SEVERANCE Season 2 Episode 10 Ending Explained

I review, breakdown and explain Severance Season 2 Episode 10. I give my reaction to the Apple TV+ show’s finale which stars Adam Scott as Mark as we saw him reunite with Gemma in Cold Harbor, rescue her and then choose Helly. I discuss the ending which saw Dylan leading an uprising against Mr Milchick, the dance scene, the meaning of the goats, Lorne and Mr Drummond's fight, Mr Drummond's death, the moral complex of an outie vs an innie, the value of an innie’s life, what Jame Eagan wanted with Helly and I answer what Cold Harbor is. I also give my theories and predictions on Season 3.

I definitely believe that Mark’s choice was consistent with his character. When he loves someone, he’s all in so it made sense his innie made that decision.

One Redditor pointed out that in the episode where they showed flashbacks of Mark's life with Gemma, he attempts to put together a crib that looks like the one on the finale. When you zoom in on the box the crib came in, the label on it says "Col d'Arbor."

I really enjoyed it. They weren’t afraid to explore the complex dynamics created by the innie/outie situation. No matter the outcome, someone is going to lose. The Gemma/Mark reunion was awesome, so glad we finally got it, even though it was short-lived.

The dialogue between Mark and Mark S is so good. Initially, I thought clearly the outie takes precedence but in the end I wasn’t so sure. You can see both sides of the argument. The complexity of that scene. Wow. The directing. The cinematography. The entire episode. 10/10.

Small Detail: Innie Mark had his finger on the trigger the whole time and outie mark had his finger on the side. Innie mark has no knowledge of gun safety but outie mark applies it even to a bolt pistol.
