Показать описание
Painted Ruins is the fifth studio album by American alt rock band Grizzly Bear. It was a follow-up to their 2012 album Shields. Grizzly Bear spent two years writing and recording for the album. Band member Chris Taylor produced Painted Ruins, with recording sessions occurring primarily at Allaire Studios in New York, but also at various locations around Los Angeles, including Taylor's own Terrible Studios.

The vinyl has a richer sound compared to the digital mastering - definitely an album that sounds a lot better on vinyl.

Grizzly Bear is a rock band based in Brooklyn, New York. Their music uses melody and ambiance in conjunction with hazy-eyed harmonies. Everyone in the band sings, which adds a nice variety.

Grizzly Bear was originally the solo project of Edward Droste (vocals/guitar/omnichord/autoharp). Chris Bear (drums/vocals) joined in 2004. The two other band members, Chris Taylor (woodwinds/electronics/engineering/production) and Daniel Rossen (vocals/guitar) joined in 2005. This allowed Grizzly Bear to perform the complexity of the sound live.
