I wanted the original Masterpiece '07 Megatron, but I totally missed the initial release date, and ontop of that he's super expensive in the Aussie dollar. But by some total stroke of luck, I happened to start searching for an affordable listing for him right as this figure has come onto the market, almost like fate.
TF Direct only had 1 of these left yesterday, so I took the gamble and ordered the Honey Badger without any solid answer to the question of "Is it any good?". Of course, now I'm breathing a sigh of relief, thanks to you.
I'm one of the few who actually really loves the '07 Megatron's jet mode. I was never able get my parents to buy either of the first 2 Megatron Leader figures for the movies, so my first real Megatron was the Last Knight version. And that figure is great and all, I love how huge the jet is with the flame effect pieces he comes with. But... he's not my favourite movie Megatron. So I'm absolutely stocked to have this figure on order now. I can't wait to get him in my hands and see that jet mode in person after all these years.
I was 11 years old when the first Bay TF movie came out, and now I'm 23. This has been a long time coming.

I am literally yelling "YES!" at my computer screen. I've been waiting for this. The flat grey and splotchy silver on the official didn't cut it for me... this is a dream come true. Ordered it from tfdirect straight away!

Grindor was a lot bigger than blackout, and Megatron was bigger than Optimus. So those scales are accurate.

So glad you got this up quickly, thanks! On a side note, the honeybadger is actually a real animal and a very vicious one too, uses its huge claws to go straight for the genitals of any foe or rival (nasty stuff!) there's even a rifle, an M4 platform named after it.

I want an oversized and slightly sculpted version of megatron that can scale with black apple's prime. Mpm 8 for sure doesnt scale accurately with the jazz, and its be nice for there to be a bigger, better mpm megatron

I'm just glad that this and the official Takara/Tomy Masterpiece versions don't have that electronic raptor screech like the 2007 Leader Class did.

i think hasbro doesn't like people doing better then them for cheaper prices legit they have been starting to overcharge for their figures and its pissing them off that more people probably buy more KO's due to the prices

They did a remarkable job on the paint and upgrading MPM-8 Megatron. I'll have to get this version.

I had recieved mine. He's a really good looking figure. The color scheme is awesome and makes him stand out. I had assistance in determining which to buy. I had done a vote on a FB TFormers group. And the Honey Badger won by a landslide. HAS/TAK only had 2 votes. What l like is that the honey badger did away with the red translucent plastic parts. I really did not like that. It wasn't necessary and HB proved my theory by not adding that in.

I think I may be one of the only people to believe the new WJ Prime and Mpm Megs are perfectly sized together lol if you even watch the forest fight scene in ROTF and pause just after Megatron rips his blade from Prime, they're standing at the same height

There's some official media from back in the day that specifies that Optimus is supposed to be 28 feet tall in Movie One, and Megatron is 35 feet.
So crunching the numbers, and working out a rough scale for the figure. Megatron here is a 1:12 scale figure, roughly, I think.
If that's the case, the idea Optimus Prime to scale with him accurately would need to be in the range of 10.5 inches tall.
But... that's if you even care in the first place. It's really not that big of a deal when it comes to toys, unless you're doing a diorama or something.

So this may be manufactured by WeiJiang, but probably not. Both WJ and Black Mamba have opened preorders on their oversized versions. 36 and 37 cm respectively.
