We have been pretty lucky 🍀 in Australia 🇦🇺 with Hour Glass being the biggest Rolex AD in the World, unlike many other countries as I have been dealing with Hour Glass for 15 years now & know Michael. When then launched the two tone Sea Dweller at Basel 2019 I had one for my wife within 2 weeks, my ‘Batgirl’ I had to wait nearly 2 months for, but I have purchased over 60 Rolex’s now from them plus many other brands including my favourite brand as in GP...but the wait list are much less. The root beer model should easily be obtainable with a discount of around 15% right now.

SD43 & Black Deep Sea would be too similar in the same collection for me. An SD43 & a Deep Sea DBlue would a different proposition though and would make a great pair of dive watches

Congrats on the new watch... the market is crazy now days, I’m glad I was able to get my watches before the market flipped (Daytona, BLNR, Hulk) I have videos of all of them in my channel.
I was offer a trade a few months ago, the Daytona and the BLNR for a 05 997 with auto transmission... after much consideration I passed and still looking for a 997 turbo here in Costa Rica.
Again congrats on the new Rolex!

Congrats, Michael! I love the heft of these watches on the wrist. You won’t have to service them for 10 years, which is great. Enjoy and don’t sweat the scratches.

Michael: Good on you (soon? Lol). I have some nice watches, but not in your class. My recent passion money went to an ‘82 Mooney with a 300HP Missile conversion. It had no box or tags or stickers, but “it” is pretty damn special. Glad you were able to fuel your passion. Enjoy!

Should have go for the GMT Master II rose gold mate. That is far more valuable and harder to get in AD.

Good purchase! I recently got lucky here in The States and purchased my very first new Rolex. I got a Deep Sea all black. I can't wear any of my other watches. I love this watch.

Nice purchase Michael, part of the reason I got the Submariner is because it's not as thick and bulky as the Sea Dweller but still makes a big bold statement. Enjoy your new Rolex my friend. :)

Hey Michael, I like your ramblings!
I'm new to the watch scene, it's my current obsession. I've seen secondary selling practices is my other hobbies /obsession and I like how rolex try and stop this.
My question is, are ADs allowed to sell new over list price? Is this not shady practice?

Good for you.
The one I really wanted was the old Batman. Now I just want a standard Submariner. Impossible to get and don't really want to support the gray market either. I might consider a older pre maxi case one.

I bought a steel and gold Daytona from an AD a couple of years ago and have been trying to buy a green Submariner ever since. Think I’ve got more chance of winning the lottery!
Also own a 2011 997.2 C4S in arctic silver, I love it and you should keep yours if you can, value only going one way ⬆️

No boring at all Michael, keep doing what you do. Happy you bought two of your dream watches.. life is short, I wouldn't worry about paying that premium, its money to you in the future. Funny hearing all about Rolex and luxury watches. I bought a used GMT Master some 30 Years ago. It was about a year old at the time paid $1, 400.00, enjoyed it for about 3 years then sold it for $1, 800.00. I should of kept it, it would of been a down payment on my dream a 993 :-). In those days any reputable jewelry store sold Rolex and you could buy as many as you bank account would let you. Interesting how times have change with this now grey market. I will never be able to afford another Rolex, will have to be content with my cheap digital Garmin Fenix 5 :-). I still so love the Submariner a classic in my younger years. Natasha would love a Rolex for Christmas.. hint. .. hint. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Great vlog as always...

What's the big deal about the price? I have a Hulk and I paid 13k at essential watches in beverly hills california.. Don't be scared brother.. Its just a watch

Hi Michael, you know I prefer a Porsche rather than a watch however I like the video. Nice option looks very smart and a mix between classic and modern.
In the other hand you look fantastic, your diet really works.

That out of my league. I can’t fathom spending that much on a timepiece. I get that they are the gold standard in watches, but it’s just not on my radar. Judging by the comments, I’m the only one in the room in that position. Agree that life is short and understand your need to soothe yourself. If a Rolex makes the absence of a Porsche easier, do it. Please vlog Casablanca. All I’ve ever seen about it was from Humphrey Bogart’s perspective.

Hmmmm. Soooo will the Rolex go up and in value? Then you sell the Rolex. And buy a GT3? If no, then I don't get it
