I find it MORE unfeminist to say a woman can’t make her own decisions and her choices have to be decided on by activists who have nothing to do with the situation.

Edit: My main point was that people should let her do what she wants, I am in no way shape or form a feminist; at least not in the modern sense of the word. My point was the main people making these complaints are usually claiming to be feminists.

If 50% of marriages end in divorce, does my marriage have a 50% chance of falling? No. People calling her out for changing her name and saying that she might get divorced is not only extremely insensitive but also incredibly stupid. A marriage is not a roll of the dice anyway, the couple decides how they work things out (which is also why it's important to choose your partner wisely)

Honestly it kind of all depends on the reasoning if a name change was important to her then sure and you can always change it. Also I think it’s a tad bit insensitive to tell newlyweds not to do something because they’ll “probably get divorced”

Take his name. Don't take his name.. none of you should care. The fact this actresses even has to wrestle with this is the actual issue stop making it worse. Its her and his choice as part of there relationship. Whatever there choice is. Keep your mouth shut. Accept it and move on. If you were to list out all the things to care about in order of importance... what she chooses to do about her last name should litterly be at the bottom of everyones list. Right down there with if my tp roll is up or down. You should care about that way more. If you don't.. the problem is you.

It is a topic not often addressed. As an artist, you brand your name. How do you retain the brand you've built, while still having the same name as your children?
For me that looked like dropping my last name entirely and operating under my first and middle name in art spaces.
It is something females have to be aware of and consider before beginning a career. If you want your work to follow you after marriage, you have to solve that problem before it happens.
