In the Rosalind Franklin Lecture 2018, volcanologist Professor Tamsin Mather explored some of the different types of volcanic activity that we see on Earth today and have seen over our planet’s geological history. She revealed how lessons learnt sitting on the edge of an active volcano today can give us insights into some of the most profound environmental changes in geological history including mass extinction events.

Watson and Crick used data supplied by Rosalind Franklin (and deliberately keeping her in the dark about their intentions) to determine the structure of DNA. They got a Nobel prize for stealing her data, she got ovarian cancer (probably from using unshielded x-rays to get the the data Watson and Crick stole) and died. I learned of what they had done during my quest for my degree in biochemistry. It's been 39 years and it still makes me angry. I completely appreciate her work. 🙂

I would take a class of hers if it was possible. But it isn't. The ash has much sharp material in it; like miniature shrapnel. Mt St Helens explosion was 4times the impact of Hiroshima atomic bomb. I hope investigation is made regarding the depraved opportunity to CAUSE volcanic eruption to use as a weapon. People nedd to consider locations of events drawing alot of people. The volcano could possibly blow without warning signs, and be geoengineered.
