Moonlight Raptor Run // Animation Loop

This is based on a screenshot of my latenivenatrix running along the edge of the impact crater in Path of Titans lol. Been enjoying that game lately. I really need to do more with my dinosaur characters, I'd kill for a Lion King-like 2D animated movie about dinosaurs.

Sorry I haven't been posting much! I've been really burned out trying to appeal to the algorithm and shape my art around platforms like YouTube. I put so much energy and motivation into being a "content creator" but I really just want to animate.

Ever since I found out dromeosaurs had feathers as a kid, I always wondered how cool they must have looked in life. Even little run cycle animations like this remind me that they were majestic creatures, and how much I would loved to have seen one in the wild (interacting with its natural habitat and ecosystem and not eating me of course).

I read the description of the video.

I think it's valuable for ones own sanity to put time and energy into the work that you want to do or else you'll turn your passions into a job and risk burnout.

It's a double-edge sword. I get wanting a passion to generate income but I feel it can be a slippery slope into losing interest in ones work.

I have no idea what your intentions or goals are but I think you are a very talented artist and as someone who follows you, I want to see what you want to create, not what you think you need to create.

I had this realization when I was in school for audio technology about 10 years ago. I worked in recording studios, helped with live sound stuff, then ultimately realized I just wouldn't like music anymore if I continued down that path.

Anyway sorry for rambling in your comment section. I'll leave you with a quote from a very inspirational art collective that's stuck with me for years:

Latenivenatrix may just be my new favorite dinosaur of all time just because I am obsessed with nocturnal animals. The theory of nighttime hunting raptors seems so cool and creepy to me.
