The Dangers Of Appeasement

Church authorities wanting to desperately remain relevant with academics embraced crazy theories like the Gap Theory and Day Age Theory. Well meaning messianics/torah/hebrew roots are playing down the outright pagan origins and traditions of Christmas and Easter so they hopefully can reach a broader audience. And Jews looking to somehow end anti-semitism have in the past embraced theories that they are not in fact jews at all. The problem with APPEASEMENT is that the end result is often worse than the desired outcome.

Never looked at the idea of appeasement this way before. Thank you for sharing. The Holy Spirit has used you several times to either bring me back to balance or to keep me from taking a rabbit trail. I appreciate all that you do and all that the Father does through you. Many blessings.

Before I awoke, I was a Pastor that kept getting into trouble because I chanllenged why are we doing the opposite of what Scripture says? Prob why I never became the Sr "Podium" Pastor. I was teaching 4-6th grade boys, and for xmas they wanted the boys to sing "We 3 Kings" by DC Talk i think. I explained that song is nice, but not Biblical. My teachings to the boys was with the 10 commandments (I didn't know that Sabbath was 7th day then) as the foundation of everything I Taught. I was relieved from teaching until after xmas. I didn't go to the xmas day services, but heard some of the boys chose to tell their parents they didn't want to sing that song, and their parents accepted that, with exception of one whose (parent) is the one who had me relieved. The Church later asked me to become the Children's Pastor. I was a Volunteer teacher due to was a Naval Officer (Nurse Corps) and was getting out, and would be moving away. I declined.


So you were Born in 76, thats when I joined the Military USAF in April, but soon switched to the USN due to their Corpsman were less than 20% manned. NCIS Character Gibbs joined USMC in Sep 76. Boy am I feeling Old. Especially Gibbs is 17 then (Like I was) but played by actor that is what 10-15 years older? I have over several years stopped watching NCIS and 95% of TV.

Well, science tells us that the sun existed first before earth, while scripture tells us the earth was made first before the sun.
Maybe there is gap theory for this of some sort also?

Science also tells us that the sun is the same as all the starts, but scriptures tells us the sun is a unique creation than all the stars.

Totally agree about "The Gap Theory" nothing adds up with that theory at all. Oh if we would just read the scripture for ourselves and not just blindly believe man's theories we would wake up! Seek Him and you will find Him...study the scripture to show yourself approved and to be able answer every man. ABBA Father thank you for Your truth and people like Zac and others who expose evil.

Thank you Zach! We are surrounded by compromise. My girl friend (lifetime christian) Loves Christmas, and received some of my points about why its wrong, but she can't let go.

English is a mixed slave language as well. How it has evolved is pretty interesting. As well as funny how important the letter J is to some and yet was invented 500 years ago.

I too have bought into that theory. And now regret ever teaching anyone the gap theory. I think if it not printed in the Bible, it is not for us to know. I am sorry your wife is gone. I feel responsible, and I am sorry that happened to you and your family. Btw you are one of my hero’s, you are truly blessed in the spirit. It is ok if you have to do what you need to do. Protect the remnant.
