After owning the fantastic RTX 3090 FE for awhile, I've discovered that while the card is great, the memory runs a bit, regardless of brand. Join me in this video as I dive into tearing this expensive GPU apart and showing how to drop your memory temperatures while doing mining or high compute loads by 20 degrees C or more!

Tools used in this video are listed below. While, neither company sponsors this video, purchases through the affiliate links help out my channel! Thanks!

If you want to reduce your temps for the GDDR6X from unsafe to safe just repad the rear of the card and use Gelid Extreme 1.5mm pads. The risk of breaking the cables or creating a less effective thermal connection between coldplate and chip is high and the oem thermal paste seems to keep the core temp low. I went from 104deg mem junct to 90 max, you can also just undervolt the card which helps with around 100w power consumption with minimal FPS loss. Makes sure you have a well ventilated case and upward extract fans/AIO to reduce temps in the case.

Screws under magnetic plates are T5 not T6. And the back bracket of card is T7 not T6.
