Can i find the abandoned village of Clicket in Somerset?

This time i am in West Somerset to try to find the abandoned village of Clicket. On my way i pass through The Tall Trees Trail at the lovingly named Nutcoombe Bottom to see the tallest tree in the U.K. A Douglas Fir standing at 60m high. I then walk for what seems for hours & hours through the beathtaking scenery of the Brendon Hills to try to find the long abandonded village of Clicket.

There is so little left of the village Martin, that even in winter you could miss it. I would think that back in the day, it may have been just a couple of families living there. Fantastic and beautiful green trail and i have never seen trees that big in real life.

Wow 😮 you probably need a week to get over that long walk ! I can’t get over how green everything looked and there were some amazing views throughout your walk …. Such a shame there wasn’t more to see of Clicket but nevertheless you can say you’ve been there ! Very enjoyable and interesting ! 🙂

Nice, never knew this trail existed or perhaps it did'nt 50+ years ago when I left the West country😅
