The crash

At 12:23 a.m., Paul lost control of the vehicle at the entrance to the Pont de l'Alma tunnel. The car swerved to the left of the two-lane carriageway before it collided head-on with the 13th pillar that supported the roof. The car was travelling at an estimated speed of 105 km/h (65 mph). It then spun and hit the stone wall of the tunnel backwards, finally coming to a stop. The impact caused substantial damage, particularly to the front half of the vehicle, as there was no guard rail between the pillars to prevent this. Witnesses arriving shortly after the accident reported smoke. Witnesses also reported that photographers on motorcycles "swarmed the Mercedes sedan before it entered the tunnel."

The animation is impressive. Looks almost realistic

Ok that should not have killed anyone in the backseat.

This is wrong. He never hit the brakes. He never slowed down. The marks in the roadway way were determined to be yaw marks, caused by a quick maneuver at a high rate of speed, not skid marks which would be caused by sudden braking (Cornwell 2003).

This is inaccurate. The car was travelling much faster than in this reconstruction. Also, the car ended up on left hand section of the tunnel, though only 15 feet away from where it crashed into the thirteenth pillar.

The extent to which the white Fiat Uno contributed to the accident is unclear. It is certainly odd that the driver of that car never stopped and has never come forward. There could be many reasons for this, the car may have been uninsured, or they might have just panicked at the sight of the immediate severity of the accident, which they must have witnessed, either from the windshield or from the rear view, or wing mirror. But I think the mystery of the driver's identity actually exaggerates their significance to the accident. At the end of the day, the driver of Diana's car, Henri Paul, hit the Fiat from behind, and it's a given rule on the road that the fault always lies with the the person who is driving behind because you have to expect the unexpected.

Either way, blood tests don't lie. Despite how sober Paul may have seemed on the CCTV footage before he left the Ritz, he had far too much to drink to be able to drive safely. The jury that rendered their verdict on the inquest into Diana's death found him grossly negligent. And let's not forget, the French investigation found Henri Paul, one of their own citizens, 'solely responsible' for perhaps the most publicised death in the country which involved a foreign national and one of the most famous people in the world.

RIP Diana.

IT ACTUALLY WENT LIKE THIS (the video is missing a lot):

As the Mercedes enters the Pont d'Alma tunnel, witnesses insist it was being followed by a black motorbike, a dark saloon and white turbo Fiat Uno. The dark saloon was behind Mercedes (attached to the hood), to make the chauffeur drive faster and more erratically. Then the Uno clipped the side of the Mercedes to push it to one side. This allowed the motorbike to speed past.
At 12.23am: The witnesses claim that when the bike was 15 feet in front of the car there was a fierce flash of white light which came from the motorbike. The suggestion is that this came from a laser beam carried by the pillion passenger which was shone at the car. The witnesses' view is that the flash of light blinded Henri Paul temporarily. It was followed by a loud bang as the limousine swerved violently before slamming into the 13th pillar in the tunnel.

IMPORTANT: One eye-witness, a French harbour pilot, watched the scene in his rear-view mirror. He recalls the motorbike stopping and one of the riders jumping off the bike before going to peer in the Mercedes' window. The rider then turned to his compatriot on the bike and gave a gesture used informally in the military (where both arms are crossed over the body and then thrown out to each side) to indicate 'Mission Accomplished'. He climbed back on the motorcycle and raced off out of the tunnel.

This baffles me. The driver accidentaly hits the white Fiat, gets shocked and surprised, slams on the brakes causing his rear wheels to lock, loses traction in the front and is unable to steer away from the pillars. Every sane man who calls himself a "proffesional limo driver" would have let go of the gas, gently nudged the wheel to the right and THEN started braking. That way he would have kept enough traction to steer away and would have all the road for himself to stop the car. The only logical explanation is that he was either intoxicated, sleepy/tired, or something else we aren't supposed to know.

Sad the Royal family had her done in like that because of her relationship with Dodi Fayed

Where is the motorcycle that flashed the light in henri, s eyes? Causing him to hit the pillar?

The actual car had to have flipped or something man. All of these simulations are vague af.

We ask governments in all countries to unite the bridge pillars as high as one or two meters so that if a car hits a bridge support, it can still slide not as badly as a car crashes into a bridge pillar so that an accident hitting a pillar like what happened to Princess Diana does not happen again.

They just needed sufficient excuse to bundle her into the "ambulance" once she was inside that vehicle she wasn't getting out alive regardless

Her previous boyfriend didn’t survive a crash and her brakes failed in another car she rid before.

The car was remote controlled and steered into the pillar

That could have not "killed" someone sitting at the backseat, injured yes indeed but what about all the emergency first aids and hospitals, did people forget how to take her to a hospital near by or give atleast a first aid at the spot ?

Unfortunatelly but geometry of tonnel looks incorrect on this video. In the 13th pillars point it has the clear bend to right. But version of the crash looks realistically

The force of such a crash can and will, damage the heart. The sudden deceleration will do it, seatbelt or not.
