Enjoy one of the most exciting and spine chilling Train journeys during the Monsoons deep inside the Western Ghats on the Hassan - Mangalore Railway line in Karnataka State. Sakleshpur- Subhramanya Shiradi Ghat Section. The section is prone to land slides every year during monsoons hence making it a extremely dangerous route, yet very very Scenic.
The trains here are hauled by Braker Locomotives while descending the Ghat section for additional braking.

Shiradi ghat is a pleasent ghat to travel, i travelled in Bike, car, Bus, and train, always super experience, earleir big pat holes on roads was d problem, now after concrete its awsome to drive,

In Gujarat we always strive for such a heavenly ride of thick forests
Only a small portion of such forest ride we find in gir forest.

But no match to this train ride.
Even North East train ride and konkan railway ride is awesome
