I always love when an instructor gets into it and makes a simple word problem so much fun!

I don't understand how you determined how many quarters each person gives.

It's pretty easy because you can just (based on the question contents) set up (an) equation(s) by using (a) variable(s), like x.

1 brownie has 4 quarters thersfore 15 brownies x 4( people not three )equals 60 quarters so to divide the brownies equally u divide by 4 people and you get 15 quarters for each persons(there are 4 persons sharing the amount ) not three. as for the other part well jeremy brought 4 brownies and that equals 16 quarters 4x 4/shannon brought 5 x4 = 20 and lisa brought 6 x 4 equal 24 /now since they all get 15 quarters u minus it from the amount of quarters they each brought that is how you get 1/4, 5/4/9/4 / i hope this explains it for all interested

joarmape  4x4 = 16 - 15 = 1 brownies for jeremy
 5x4 = 20 - 15 = 5 Brownies for shanon
6x4 = 24 -15 = 9 brownies for lisa.

ain't no way I would do all that math for 0.40 ( for that matter I wouldn't do that for 3.60 cents! )! loved the video though!

In a real life situation, I would throw 2 bucks at each person and be done with it
