13:28. Headers never caught this one, but obviously when I said, if you’re eating too much healthy foods, and therefore too many calories, I meant to say you’re NOT going to lose weight.

Also, there was no clip of Bart KAY and so many of you here for the first time we’re probably very confused with this video but hopefully you understand the point of the video which is that in order to lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit regardless of if it’s healthy or not, you can’t break the laws of thermodynamics. And that’s why, even if you eat, just made if you eat too many calories you’re still gonna gain weight

I am just getting over anorexia and I feel like I can say for certain that CICO is the basis to why I was in that situation. My intake of calories was far below what I was burning. After going to therapy, I steadily increased my food intake until I was comfortable enough to be full without wanting to vomit. I went from 100 lbs to 118 so far.

I love how Tim talks about how the two groups were given the same food and same calories, and one group over ate by 200 calories. WELL THEN THEY DIDN'T GET THE SAME FOOD AND SAME CALORIES!!

I always find it strange when people talk about how inaccurate calories on foods or food calculators are. It’s not relevant if your doing things right.

Use all the numbers as you usually would, don’t worry about how accurate x food label is. Just go in a cut to the best of your ability and track everything.

Then 4-6 weeks later look at what your results are. If you lost weight, now you have a reference point. You know if you do the same thing, inaccurate numbers and all, you will loose x pounds in a month. You calibrate the tools to your results. Then, if the numbers are off it doesn’t matter. They are accurate ti your results.

I literally watched this podcast video yesterday and knew this was coming. I woke up today with this video in my recommendation, and it made me happy. Coach never disappoints when it comes to cico.

I didnt understand why Coach Greg was so upset bc CICO made so much sense. Then i watched dozens of Drs and nutritionists say how calories in calories out isnt true and i started yelling as well... why is it so hard for people to accept CICO is how things work ?

I did my own study. Calories in calories out all last year. 251 to 191. It works.

I can tell you were a great teacher. I wish you taught my son, matter of fact I wish you were next to me to help me raise him! Lol I'm 28 trying my best to be a good dad but I strive to be a well rounded man like you coach.

I actually hate how much people overcomplicate calories, this is basic stuff and I see super smart educated people not understanding it, it’s simple, a calorie is a measurement of a unit of energy. Your body needs x calories to function, if it gets less than x, it will go take it from its energy storages (fat). If it gets more than x it stores the extra energy away in form of fat. It’s not a complicated system, it’s like if someone told me, actually a centimetre is not 1/100th of a meter.
