BEHIND THE CHEVRONS dives into fandom. Football fandom. Football shirt fandom. We want to get behind the shirt to understand what makes a particular design matter to fans and players - and why wearing that shirt makes us more inclined to scream at the top of our lungs when our team scores a last-minute belter.

In today’s episode, we’re zooming in on Denmark’s glory kit history and all the stunning designs from the past 35 years. Together with DBU’s (Danish Football Federation) Fan Coordinator Anders Hagen, we explore some of the most iconic Denmark designs, including a few one-off shirts, and compare them with a number of new kits worn by the Danish National Team. We reveal all kinds of new facts and interesting stories about Denmark shirts that you (probably) didn’t even know about.

We’ve also been visiting the Denmark camp to speak with Pierre Emile Højbjerg, Daniel Wass and Andreas Skov Olsen about their thoughts on different shirt designs. Ultimately, resulting in exciting revelations about which shirts from the past they'd love to hit the field in today.
So, sit back and join us as we take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the most iconic Denmark shirts from the past 35 years.

I just won a bid of this great 1986 world cup shirt for £350, it became my most expensive shirt in my collections, but everything worth it because it fulfilled one of my wish of life.🤩⚽

I loved the Hummel Denmark shirt that had same template as the Tottenham shirt from 1985 with the chevrons horizontal going across the chest area.It was worn against Ireland that year. It's rarely mentioned but it's a wonderful shirt.Just Google image Ireland V Denmark 1985 and you will see how cool it was.

I learned of your brand for the first time today.. Can you guess what sort of impression you've made? (hint... It's not a good one!)

Love the work you do, keep it up!

For next episodes, details and process of V-Varen Nagazaki's kits, especially the "annual peace jerseys" would be an awesome story.I always liked the designs and i would like to know more about history and design process behind it.

The brand reputation in one day has gone from Iconic and one i loved to absolute joke with regards to the treatment of GP Lama.

Great video. Such a shame this comments section has been taken over by commenters from another channel, about an unrelated issue.

Too late to win the shirt but I hope you'll keep up the giveaways in future, they are top tier!

For future videos, I'd love to know more about your partnership with clubs like Forward Madison and Providence City in the states- iconic amongst current shirt collectors. Also perhaps the design process of some of the more unusual recent shirts in the UK, like this years Charlton away, cambridge home kit and the colourful Bristol city GK kit. Finally one of my favourite things about recent Hummel shirts is the rubberised heat pressed 'Hummel' logo- but the Forward Madison shirts are fully sublimated and others have embroidered badges/details. Can you talk a bit about how those decisions are made, how fabric is chosen, ect.

Shown what a wonderful company you are, in your legal proceedings against GP Lama. Shame. Wont be buying any chevrons soon

Me encantaría ver la diferencia de como se confeccionaban las antiguas camisetas Hummel y como lo hacen hoy en día, me interesa mucho. Un saludo y a ver si hay suerte con esa reliquia. :)

I'd like a Denmark 86 shirt home or away...i heard in Denmark at the time the people hated it?... now along with Holland 88 and west Germany 1990 it's the most iconic shirt ever made... originals are worth serious money

I’d love to see a episode about Real Betis kit (1987-1990).

I'd like to see an episode on how hummel has helped lower leauge soccer teams reach new/international people through impressive kit designs. As well as how they end up with such amazing designs. I currently really like Foward Madison Fc and Green Bay Voyagers

Would be interested to hear more about the growing influence of retro shirts on modern designs and how you choose which ones to recreate.

Think Hummel kicked this off with a few of the early Charlton designs they did which were influenced by previous designs.

Hey @hummel it has been 2 weeks when will you decide the winners for competition?

The blue in the kits is a reference to the royal family. It has nothing to do with the seas around Denmark, but it refers to the royal familie and their guards 😊🇩🇰

Hello everyone.

After a review of the statements of Mr. Miller, it is clear to us that a misunderstanding has taken place. It is important for us to state that no one has been sued and Mr. Miller will not face any further legal proceedings and hummel is not asserting any monetary claims.

We simply asked him to refrain from using our trademarks again in the future, which is a standard procedure we always follow to protect our trademark, which is fundamental to our business.

We've also been in contact with Mr. Miller to clarify any misunderstandings and we see the case as closed and wish Mr. Miller all the best going forward.

It would be great to hear the story of the very first Hummel kit outside of Denmark.

Id love to see a episode on the recent Coventry 2tone kits. As a Coventry fan I'm happy someone is finally using this great element of our city's culture
