I have owned both, the W211 feels more majestic, the CLS, as you mentioned, more sporty. Yes the M273 V8 produces 70 bhp more than the M113 it replaced, but it doesn't match the legendary near Lexus reliability of the M113.

I had a cls500, i now have an 08 e350 and an 07 s65 amg and other than the looks i like my e class better than the cls i used to own, even with the s65 i still really appreciate my w211

I bought a W211 E350 2008. Almost Fully Loaded. I agree with you that the comfort in the E-Class ist almost on the level with the S-Class but i looked at the CLS, and I don´t like it. It was way to sporty and too futuristic for me personally. I´m more than happy with my choice that I made. Gonna enjoy my E-Class and drive with full comfort.

Love it or hate the w219. I own a 350, 2005 272hp for 12 Years! Really reliable, fast and Family friendly. Still getting compliments for the car. Best Daily car I ever had.

Hi, I have a 2007 CLS 350 CGI with only 110K kilometers. I love the ride very much. But I seem to have a problem with the automatic folding side mirrors. They fold when I close the car, but they do not return in position most of the times, when starting the car. How can I reset them, or what else can I do in this case? Hope to hear, Pim

I love my 2008 cls550….i hate the airmatic system though….other than that the car is awesome and rides soooo nice, i recently painted mine do to failing clearcoat and now it looks like a brand new car again……it was black but now i painted it a dark charcoal mettalic graphite with a touch of pearl and the interior is the red wine colored leather……i have a cts-v that is supercharged and makes way more power than my cls but my cls just feels wayyy better and safer too!!!

w211 E55 from 2005 got the same steering as the cls.

W211 is better if you need the 5 seats. i personally like the 2012-2014 CLS a lot better than this C219 from a styling perspective.
