Allow me to demonstrate how to fix this problem, in less than 1 minute.

Steps to remediate this error message
1) Using File Explorer, navigate to the VM folder.
If you do not know the location of the folder, you can find out with these easy steps.
a) Select your VM image (from the list).
b) Click on "Edit virtual machine settings".
c) Click on "Options" tab.
d) Under "Working directory" is where the VM image is stored.
2) Delete any folder that is suffixed with .lck 9stands for lock.
3) Launch your VM again.
