Rubber Accelerator TMTD, its trade name is Rubber Accelerator TMTD,features of white powder or granule, relative density is 1.29. Soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in water, gasoline, or dilute alkali. Heat generation dimethylamine with water and carbon disulfide. Can irritate the respiratory tract and skin.
Used as super vulcanization accelerator in rubber industry, also used with thiazole accelerator , and used as a continuous rubber accelerator with other promoters. When the tempreture is above 100 ℃, it will slowly release free sulphur, therefore,it can be used as the vulcanizing agent. Products made of it have excellent aging resistance and heat resistance. TMTD is suitable for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. They are mainly used in the manufacture of tires, inner tubes, rubber overshoes, cable and other industrial products. Also used as fungicide and pesticide in the agriculture field, and as additive in lubricating oil.
