Keep up the good work ... don't give up. I just stared writing sonnets ... and all of this info checks out. Introspect, reinvent, and evolve: you've got what it takes. Don't give up: keep pushing.

Minor point: not just pentameter, but typically iambic pentameter; although not always - from memory, at least some of Wyatt's sonnets are in hexameter/Alexandrine.

My anxious is heart nearly torn in two

My life couldn't have been any more different
Man or Animal, protection of which is best?

My life has been a diverse array of colors
Red and grey and more upon one vast pallet
