Battlbox is a good way to get gear you wouldn't buy, from brands you never heard off. lol The first part is more true than the second. Such boxes by several companies sell because of the "Wonder what I'll get inside?" factor, rather than an individual assessment as to what holes do I have in my preps and what gear best fits that need before I part with my hard earned cash. If I had Battlbox for a year or two I'd have a huge bin where I'd toss in stuff I see no use for or that doesn't meet my needs as well as gear I already own.

Opinels are actually convex ground, it’s just that the radius is quite big. It’s especially noticeable on N12 but even on small ones you can use a ruler to see. And they’re ground almost to 0 if not to true 0.

Just being a mass-produced factory knife with convex grind for that price is actually quite an impressive thing about opinels. It’s a shame that it’s not talked about more, mass-producing even convex grind isn’t something many companies can do, a lot of factories grind convex by hand.
