I learned what I thought was german from an Amish community where I lived as a small child. But this is far different from what I was taught. I enjoy relearning german from these videos. Very good teacher.

I went to Germany 3 years ago and I stayed there for a month in Regensburg. I can't believe it's been that long already. I also visited Munich, Nuremberg, and Salzburg. I started learning German in high school and I also took it for a semester at my community college here in NJ so it's been off and on for a while now. I really want to be able to understand it and speak it fluently.

My family is from Germany, my parents tried to teach us, but we didnt learn as children. Now as an adult I have been back over a few times, and the language barrier is too much. I want to learn so that I can talk with them. I like very much your channel. I have the most trouble figuring out what word goes where. Plus many words I know are slang, not high german. Hallo Alisa. I live in Lindau, which is an amazing and wunderbar place, and it got me motivated to learn german at home as well. People here are really nice, but I hate this cold weather most of the time, even thought its July. I am trying to learn Deutsch as quickly as possibly, and the best way is by talking to little kids, because you can ask about everything: Was ist das? and they always tell, even though its not always the right word. :D Tschuss

Hallo! Ich spreche nicht so gut Deutsch. I'm from America and I started learning German in the 6th grade and studied it all through high school. I haven't spoken it or studied it in 3ish years so I'm here trying to relearn the language and then some! 😊

It should be noted most of the phrases provided are for situations where there is no need to use the more formal form of German. Like if you were addressing someone you don't know and they are older than you. I'm sure the German people won't mind the incorrect form usage but some folks who are just starting out won't know or understand this. I'm sure that Alisa has covered this in other video segments.
