Despite looking simple this exercise is technical somewhat like a deadlift and a squat .
I believe most people get confused trying to keep their upper body parallel to the ground in order to do the row
however if you pay attention and notice Mike when he does not round his back and keeps his back straight his shoulders are higher off the floor than when he rounded his back.. rather than being hinged at the hip at a 90° angle to the floor he is more somewhere in between 90 and 45 I believe it is like this because it is much more difficult to hinge at the hips and be at a 90° angle to the floor while still keeping a straight back without rounding your back especially on The Eccentric ..
Excellent video

When you said big tip I was expecting the entire video to be about something else

It also helps being so close to the floor you know Dr. Mike

Immediately pulls down pants.

I just use my bench, haha. I have some back issues from logging as a kid. I envy that straight spine 😂

How much do i need to bend forward? And I am asking for this exercise, not because it is Valentine’s Day.

what is nice literature on the subject that ain't about PD or injury? I want more about central drive and relative muscle strength in healthy adults

Today i realised genes matter.. haven’t worked out in a year. Totally obese and out of shape but then i looked at my calf muscles 😮.. the only body part workout which barely gets tired even with insanely heavy workouts and with almost no workout and hardly walking at all still looks strong and muscular 😅

If your back is weaker when it rounds, why do so many people have a tendency to round their back during deadlifts (especially when egolifting / going all out on a 1rm)?
