Our visit to Palazzo Colonna was a highlight of our Rome trip. Not only are the building and decor (and art) amazing, there is a sense of peace in this place that wonderfully contrasts the hectic and crowded vibe you get everywhere else in Rome. Our visit completely exceeded expectations. Thanks to Romewise for bringing it to our attention.

The funny thing is that Colonna family still exist today's.
It have 921 years of history, and still today it gives us some of the best characters of Italian politics.
The last one was an European diplomat in the '80s.
