I think it's a shame that Murray and Nadal never played each other on grass again from 2012 onwards - pretty sure Murray would have won at least once against Nadal if he didn't lose in early rounds to Rosol, Darcis and Brown

It's crazy to think post 2011 to 2016, Murray probably would have stomped Nadal on grass. They never met on grass again

Murray's main rivals were Federer and Djokovic but for him the toughest was Nadal

It's a myth IMO that Murray's best surface was grass. Yes he achieved great things there (3x wimbledon finals 2x wins, 5x Queens, Olmypic gold) but he was always more natural on hard. He'd reached 3x HC slam finals before wimbledon 2012. Grass (and clay) were far more unnatural surfaces where his success came deeper into his career. (and yes he became a great clay court player too, just not as strong as grass)

How is this a rivalry? I remember Nadal just ripping Murray every time in those years. But What an era!!! Sad it's no more the case

Murray gave his all in these matches. But Nadals prime at Wimbledon is from these years from 07-11

Not much Murray could do in any of these matches. Nadal in his prime/peak years was unstoppable. Only Fed/Djokovic could beat him consistently.

Grass is Murray's strongest surface and Nadals weakest. Nadal was never the same on grass after 2011 final loss to Djokovic.
