Expecting others to be rational and knowing everything we know is only leading us to be disappointed over and over again. That's the life of an INTP.

The exhaustion of dealing with people who refuses to uses logic and would prefer mind games. 😮‍💨

Bro the first one literally made me cry. I was just "People don't have reasons? What do you mean? That's impossible"

I have come to the realization that common sense is apparently not common but that doesn’t stop me from getting disappointed with people 😅

It blew me away when I found out not everyone makes their own rules and frame to see and engage with the world in. I’d go crazy if I didn’t have standards or guidelines that I’d personally made for how I’m gonna act, I’ve gotta know my reasoning is sound. Consistency of thought is a big part of how I know I have identity instead of being a random collection of actions

As an Enfp, I heavily resonated with #2. I hate following rules just for the sake of following them. They have to make sense

I take emotions in consideration, and pridicts what people will do based on their habits instead. Understanding their true nature is more practical compared to expecting them to be rational make you negotiate easier, rational enough to not be hurt and understanding emotions to be healthy which can be futher analyzed. Also mindfulness helps with emotional well being along with staying rational when dealing with different situations.

I'm a 65 year old INTP. My framework is still a work in progress. 😛

I've learned to dumb things down. Especially since smart shaming is very common in our country, not that I mind, but it's inconvenient when everything you say, they'd think it's always something deep so they wouldn't even listen. Ugh, I want to have no social life sometimes, if only that's possible.

I just had a discussion with an INTP about this. He definitely thinks this!

I used to constantly get into conflicts with my managers because I’d be 5-10mins late. My rationale was why do I need to be a couple minutes early when we’re just going to stand around and chat for a few minutes AND every day we end up staying late anyway?

Well, people do have reasons for their ideas; they just don’t know what they are. They may not think they know about what triggered their thoughts because it could be subconsciously made up, but there’s always a reason:)

C'mon intp bro's y'all know how frustrating it is when someone has no rationality and seemingly shallow frameworks.

Deep down you think they're stupid 😂 even though you immediately reason the complexities of humans to justify it so you dont feel just arrogant 😂

I would also say being logical first about a situation then emotional. Of course if its losing a close loved one then I feel sad but if there is a problem I often find myself discussing solutions or reasons why this happens rather than comforting others. It can come off as cold or that I don't care as much. It's just processing situations differently.
