Divine Beast Dancing Lion Lore #eldenring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Join the Omni World Channel Memberships to get access to perks:

The Divine Beast Dancing Lion is the first major boss of Shadow of the Erdtree and the beasts are messengers of the heavens that harness the destructive powers of storms and frost through their movements. However, we find most of the Divine Beasts were gored and impaled by Messmer, and the Dancing Lion we face is actually an artificial divine beast which is made up of 2 divine beast warriors who have become sculpted keepers and are given the honor of performing the lion dance. In Phase 2, The Divine Beast is able to conjure the elements of storms switching from lightning, wind, and frost affinities and gains powerful new attacks depending on the element it is embodying.

There are many other easter eggs, references, and callbacks to Berserk in Elden Ring and From Software games including nods to Guts, the Dragonslayer, Berserker Armor, Griffith, the Godhand, and Apostles. Be sure to follow and subscribe for weekly Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and Berserk videos.

My theory is the headdress is how they’re able to use the original lion’s powers. It may even be possessing them.

The LIO N DANCER WE FACE WAS NOT artificial. They were like that even when fighting Mesmer. Lion dancers are the strongest warriors of the hornsent. The HEAD MAY have COME from an actual beast, but LION DANCERS ALWAYS HAD 2 WARRIORS INSIDE.

There is a second divine beast dacing lion hidden away that also can use deathblight as well as the elements that the main dancing lion we face.

The way we use Ashes Of War is by channeling the memories of the previous user into our actions, it's not to much of a stretch to say that the head of the divine beast may be able to do the same thing. In the lore of the Horned Warrior's gear it says horns give wielders the ability to channel holy abilities.

I've made a build based off of the Divine Beast. It's super fun to play. I used the Divine Lion Helm not the Head though the Head is heavy AF

I really wish we got to fight a Divine Bird boss instead of another Divine lion in Rauh

I don't get how people fail to realize that there is no such thing as an actual or artificial divine beast. Every single one is a two person controlled puppet. Even the ones that wete gored by Messmer were the same idea as the ones we fought. They are repurpoused rutual practices turned into basically war siege engines of the Hornsent. You can literally see the hands controlling the jaws in the cinematic before it cuts to the ones Messmer gored, which also have visible Hornsent legs and feet

Techincally not the first major boss. If you did the route i did by accident then you fight an annoying golden hippo. And then the upgraded lion with death blight even before this one.

One surprising thing I learned about this boss is that people didn’t realize there are two people controlling it. How do you miss that. Seriously.
