This seems like one of those tv shows you watch as a kid where they have a crossover episode with another show.

5:15 the way the “gloop gloop gloop” of the pipe syncs up with the music. Amazing attention to detail. TMNT was also my jam as a kid so this is mind blowing to me

I hate that I feel this way, because the mashup music is SO creative, but I’d like to see a version with the original TMNT music. It would make it more like the version of this in my head lol

“Thank you Mario! But there’s turtles in another sewer!” kills me hahaha. Getting turtles out of a sewer ironically could feasibly be in a plumber’s job description

The 8k kick didn't display a point value, but it did add 8, 000 points to your score

When Captain Lou said "YOU'RE GONNA TURN INTO A GOOMBA!", I should had known mutagen was involved.

Weird thing to note but I've noticed that usually if a romhack has certain elements outside of their normal area, like the flagpole in a water level, the background gets a bit glitchy and the color palette is usually different. But that didn't happen in this one. Very cool hack!

I had TMNT 2 for NES when I was a kid, the one where in the sewers you had the little nippers that bit onto your feet and you had to shake them off. The boss battles in that game were incredible, I still remember the Bebop and Rocksteady battles 30 years later.

Good work beating my hack. I made it in just a month and it's not perfect but it sure was fun!

You think if Mario came in contact with mutagen, he’d transform into a monkey like that one guy from the 1993 Mario Movie?

NES TMNT was the first game my dad bought me when I was a little kid (other than the NES bundled SMB/Duck Hunt). I remember going to Toys’R’Us and taking a paper slip out of a little display pouch to a cashier to have them get me the game out of the case. This was around 1990 and I was around 5 years old.

7:06 — Kosmic says exactly what I was thinking. Man this is a spectacular hack.

Kind of funny that a Mario / Ninja Turtles crossover straight-to-home-video movie would have built-in justification for the hack obligatory “hero vs. hero misunderstanding fight”

This is a pretty fun and creative hack, even if it only goes for 12 stages. Plus the TMNT soundtrack mixed with SMB1 is crazy good.

As a young kid, I've always dreamed of an official crossover between Super Mario Bros. and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I also tried to picture what it would be like: an action-adventure platformer like Mario games, or a beat-em-up like Ninja Turtles arcade games. Bowser, the Koopa Kids, Wart and the Subcon Villains (SMB2 needs more love) joining forces with Shredder, Krang, and the rest of Turtles enemies. I don't know if it would be epic, but there was a lot of imagination, a lot of possibilities that could arrive from such a hypothetical partnership. Works like the Teenage Mutant Koopa Troopas fan film from James Farr and this ROM hack from NESDraug give me continued hope that Mario and Turtles will one day truly cross paths.

A Mario-Turtles crossover is gonna have to happen one day.

14:30 the turtle brother palette swapped as soon as the 'bowser' turtle spawned!

really enjoying these videos these days.

as the world continues it's spiraling descent into madness and insanity, i've lost some affinity to actually play the games myself. It's nice watching someone not only play the games, but also share background knowledge about the levels and glitches being used throughout the run, to key in audience members about the lore.

and shouts to the modders, the polished work is greatly appreciated... you guys do what companies like Akklaim and LJN could only dream of delivering, and yet you don't make any money from your efforts beyond donations, if that.
