One thing I haven’t seen anyone mention yet is the live video for emergency sos that is in the iOS 18 page. I can see this feature being a huge help for people who are in areas that it will take first responders a fair amount of time to be able to get to, to be able to take action to ensure they’ll still be around when the paramedics do arrive

I definitely have a detail that went unnoticed. Floating Icons are back! You know, where you tilt the phone and the icons move separately to the wallpaper? It’s an incredibly small thing but I missed it, and am glad to have it back.

Scheduling messages is easier to do when sending to other iPhones because those messages are sent through Apple's servers. RCS and SMS are send directly through your phone using your cellular provider. When you schedule the message, you send it to Apple servers (encrypted) and then Apple's servers send it out at the scheduled time. With SMS, your phone has to be the one to hold onto the message and send it out because it is the one with access to the SIM and the keys contained therein. If you turned off your phone or your phone didn't have service, the scheduled SMS wouldn't send, which is just a bad experience and would make people mad at Apple because the scheduled send feature was "broken."

Unpopular opinion: this year's update for iOS 18 & iPadOS 18 still meh which they still don't fix the core problem for proper multitasking with a dedicated API which makes the app doesn't paused or restarted especially for iOS devices which already have 8GB of RAM, still lacks of clipboard history, eject from software, etc.
