What you see here is military equipment and solutions. In all the Nordic countries, civilian volunteers have rallied to provide health aid in the form of all sort of hospital equipment, electrical generators, hygienic products for children and elderly, sleeping bags and matrasses and fire extinguishers. In all the countries, 4*4s are collected, serviced and sent to the Ukrainian army to be used as support vehicles. Hundreds of fire trucks complete with pumps, hoses, ladders, jaws of life and personal equipment for the fire fighters have been donated and delivered. A large number of ambulances have been delivered. PCs with servers and network solutions, including continued support) have been delivered to the makeshift schools.
All this comes on top of the official military aid and is based on donations and volunteer work.

I did my military service in Sweden back in the 80's. Officially we were neutral and didn't have any military agreements with any side. Yet in all our training the enemy tended to come from the east and all our equipment was close to perfectly compatible with Nato gear. Even our communications equipment could be patched into a Nato compatible network. And yet officially we had no idea about the protocols used for Nato military communication...

I'd say it was about time to get out of the cupboard. Swedish forces and military equipment manufacturers were already working on being compatible. And everyone around us really knew the reality. If shit happened Sweden would look "west" for friends and toe the East and the former USSR for enemies.

Now we've been sending some help to Ukraine, I just feel it's tough to watch on as Ukrainians die fighting the war that Putin forced on them. No matter what happens Russia can't be allowed to win this. Partly because if they in any way win something there's a risk we will see this happen again against some other country refusing the "polite" offer from Putin to join his dream of the Russian reborn empire. But also because if Russia is able to win this war then I fear that China will see it as proof that they can invade Taiwan without having to fear meddling from other countries.

It's no secret that Russia is a big bully. Sweden has always been a target since the end of WWII. Norway and Finland have had their fair shares too. I don't know about Denmark, but it would surprise me if they not also was bullied. We know a little about Mother Russia and back during the Cold War Sweden had the fourth strongest Air Force in the world and we had almost 1M trained soldiers. We were together with Finland without NATO and we were not scared. We had our own weapon manufactories making world leading weapons. Back than Fin + Swe had 1, 5M - 2, 0M soldiers.

Nordic nations have remarkable technology. Being so close to the enemy, they obviously have a stake in shutting down Russian aggression and the continuation of Democracy. I wish the United States were as invested in Democracy as the EU is.

Pretty sure Finland have donated quite lot of artillery and other systems as well.
But those donations have been mostly confidential and secret.
No amount what and exacly what have been send is disclosed to public.

Patrias just happened to gain attention when those were spotted in Ukraine.
To my understanding not a single crewmember was lost in those.

🤦🏻‍♂️ They forgot to tell that Patria is building a factory in the Ukraine and that Ukraine ordered these so they will get deliveries from Finland and Poland where there is another factory built by Patria. Soon German factory is operational. Most annoying is that they forgot to say that Finland provides the satellite system for the Ukraine to identify targets. List is longer but never mind.

The Nordic countries are largely service economies, we know that we have no competitiveness in mass production, the countries simply have too high standards of living for that. This means that we sell ideas and technological advancements. Of course, we would use that on our military equipment since we simply are unable to compete in quantity, so we have to make up for it in quality.
