why does the autofill not work after rendering (there is no autofill animation) - just the logo and letters appear without this effect

Great tutorial, I am just doing a basic text reveal (autofill), but before it fills up, there is always a blur outline of the text (red outline then fills out with red after the plugin finishes). How would you make the outline complete invisible and only shows after the fill? Thanks!

i want to fill up a cartoon figure (illustrator file) from bottom to top... i got the animation already but its just one color... but i want the original colors to show through... so need to make a alhpa mask is this right?
