Frihetssång

This song, dedicated to Mikis Theodorakis, composed by Stojan Kaladjev already 45 years ago. It was first performed at the Modern Museum in Stockholm in 1970 at a tribute concert to Mikis Theodorakis whom shortly before had been released from Greek prison. He was himself present at the concert. To draw attention and celebrate this great freedom fighter on his 90th birthday has now Yá mas made a recording, in collaboration with composer Stojan Kaladjev, which we sent to Teodorakis on his birthday.
The Swedish lyrics is written by Stojan Kaladjev and the Greek translation is written by Nana Johansson together with her father Ilias Vogiatzis.
