Even though I haven't read Revelation Space yet, I am jealous of your Alistair Reynolds books :-)

I had nine original (probably first edition?) hardback copies of Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series, and got rid of them. (My parents were fans; I got the hand-me-downs.) Kind of kicking myself for getting rid of them now, but I hated Lord Foul's Bane and couldn't finish it. Hopefully you like it MUCH better than me. I simply didn't like the writing style or the very controversial scene in that first book.

Do you have Sword of Shannara Trilogy by Terry Brooks? If you have, is it okay if the prequel "First King of Shannara" was not been read and I start reading Book 1 of the trilogy?
