Baby found abandoned outside Springfield home

A newborn baby boy is recovering after being left outside for two days. WBZ-TV's Tammy Mutasa reports.

What a horrific story. I am so happy to hear the baby is in hospital and recovering. I just wonder how do they know the baby was there for two days? And if it was really two days is it in fact possible for a baby survive in such cold temperatures without food or water?

What I cannot work out was why one of the neighbours did not hear the baby crying and take him in.

Omg...two days.... no mailman delivering mail no delivery drivers bringing packages to the neighborhood, no people jogging or walking no parents bringing their kids to school. Thank God for the owners the baby is doing well. Hope they could adopt him.

There is usually a bassinet or pack n play at a hospital for this exact reason this is just cruel 😢

I read this story on Google news and found this that is why I'm responding to the family you have to try and get the mother to come forward, go back to the News and plead with her to come forward so she can help you help her Baby

I hope they are considering that the mother might not be ok? She could have been abducted. Had a mental schizophrenic break, and wanted off. Please consider that the mother of this child might not have done it intentionally and also could be in danger. Just saying don't jump to being judgmental that the mother didn't care because until they know more, it could be something like that.

OMG this is so sad you need to go to the news paper and plead for the mother to come forward if she left him with you and with a note she new what she was doing try reaching out to the mother to come forward and receive help but she didn't want her baby to go to the state she's going to need to come forward and legally place him with you ( the family she chose)...

Why do we assume the mother did that? There are many women in impossible situations with men who are controlling and vile. Let's assume a man did this and ask what other heinous things he's done.
