Wednesday, March 1: De-mystifying the Common Read
Dr. Karen Violanti, Executive Director of the First Year Success Program. Faculty members discuss how Common Read initiatives have been used at other institutions as a high impact practice (HIP), increased student engagement, and enriched student learning environments on college campuses. Joining Dr. Violanti will be Dr. Emily Shreve, ASC Associate Director of Academic Transitions; Ms. Jenna Heath, Director of Student & Community Engagement for the College of Liberal Arts; and Ms. Brett Detken, First-Year Seminar and Business Communication Coordinator.
