The fresh water programme describes the course taken by rivers and some of the species that take advantage of such a habitat. Only 3% of the world's water is fresh, yet all life on land is ultimately dependent on it.

Its journey begins as a stream in the mountains, illustrated by Venezuela's Tepui, where there is a tropical downpour almost every day. It then travels hundreds of kilometres before forming rapids. With the aid of some expansive helicopter photography, one sequence demonstrates the vastness of Angel Falls, the world's highest free-flowing waterfall. Its waters drop unbroken for nearly 1,000 metres (3,000 feet) and are blown away as a mist before they reach the bottom.

Consequently this remains one of my favourite aerials of all time.

Thanks for this vid. I was there a few weeks ago and it's really amazing. It's really breathtaking after a 1 hour flight from Ciudad Bolivar, 5 hours upstream on the Carrao and Churun Rivers sitting on a Curiara ( 1 tree canoe ) and finally 1 hour walk through the dense rainforest. Anyone seeing this video does appreciate nature and should, MUST got there.

Everyone that has visited Angel Falls say it is truly amazing (there is a bigger fall but does not have water all year long) not only the fall but the whole scenery around it, Indians still live here and the area is untouched. This is 15x bigger than Niagara Falls and Niagara Falls is amazing! It is sad that the country is going through tough times...
