When you think about it, Orochimaru is a written misunderstood character. The world sees him as crazy monster but I believe he is someone who’s knowledge far exceeded others. They say “As kids we praised heroes but as Adults we understand villains.” That’s why I totally respect and like Orochimaru’s character

One of my biggest role models grew up as someone who thought gang shit and acting violent was cool and fun. Then once they started becoming an adult they started using their money and power for the less fortunate. Soon after he changed he was murdered in broad daylight the week before a charity event. Once I finished grieving I dedicated myself to be a better person. He and Sasuke showed me that we are capable of terrible things but as long as you can humbly acknowledge your past actions and try to atone for your sins you can change

If you realise, Orochimaru was still going after Sasuke's body after he got ressurected from Anko's body but then suddenly changed after he absorb his chakra from Kabuto's body who are in izanami's state. Which basically means orochimaru inside kabuto's body also get enlightment, knowing that greedy of power will let you nowhere just like Kabuto who almost got powers from everyone, he still fill empty. And then Orochimaru decide to just watch over Sasuke and want to witness what kind of path that Sasuke will going through.

It's too much of our naive mindset that we tend to only understand the protagonist without even questioning their thoughts. Throughout the Naruto Series most of the protagonists were naive and they tend to close their eyes on the bitter truth. Evening knowing so that they are wrong, they can't accept that they have been wronged by the Antagonists time and time again. To be honest I mostly supported the Antagonists cuz they the reasoning to believe what they are doing is truthful. Although if you look at the other side, they are very known to the situations and circumstances and yet they disagree to the pointers of the Antagonists.

he basicly chance, becuase he became imortal, so he didn't have any left reasons to murder people, but what really doesn't make any sense is Orochimaru was never arrested for what he did to the village, even when third hokage sacrificed himself to protect village from Orochimaru, his sacrifice was in vain.
