I’m not Mormon, but my gosh even South Park was more respectful to them than this.

Exmormon here, and even I can say these women are in no way representative of the LDS church. I don't know a single couple who is part of that church who would even consider an open relationship in any way in line with the church's doctrine.

If these women are “Mormon”, then I’m a black woman from Japan.

Brett, this sounds cliche, but you took a stand for the LDS community today. I am and every member of the church is grateful for this explanation.

As someone who's LDS I have never seen an accurate representation of my faith ever made by Hollywood.

I've lived in Utah my entire life, actual Mormon girls do not act like this. In high school they were the HARDEST girls to get because they were insanely modest, had exceptional family values, and they were all heavily dedicated towards marriage. I can't remember any of my friends who were Mormon and a girl who's primary relationship goal wasn't marriage and a family. Genuine Mormon girls are extremely traditional, they see dating as a period of having fun and getting to know someone, not an excuse to hookup for a little awhile under the guise of a 'relationship', and the one's who are real about it will never have s*x before marriage. There were/are always outliers, there were always instances of "LDS" girls who was well known for the wrong reasons, but for the girls who were really active and dedicated to the faith, you'd never see this from them.

As a member of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, i appreciate how you approached this video. You were respectful and even referred to us as the LDS community instead of "mormons". Agreed 100% with the comment section. The show is a disgrace to our church and will only further spread incorrect ideas about our beliefs.

The LDS unity in disowning this behavior is my favorite thing about this comment section

The main problem with the show, is that they don’t have any actual Mormons in it.

I am an active member of The Church, and am married a wonderful woman that has been completely faithful to me and our children, and I love her dearly for that. These women represent Mormon's about as much as Kamala Harris represents a tough southern border. Brett Cooper is a class act.

As a member of the LDS church, I feel I do need to point out that many of these influences are not actually believers or part of the church.

Claiming to be Mormon and then saying youre in an open marriage is an oxymoron. One core to LDS beliefs is fidelity in marriage

I live in a heavily Mormon neighborhood in Utah. There is literally a church in almost every neighborhood. I do not know anybody like this. This behavior is the antithesis to the values of the church.

The first clue that they aren’t practicing members of the church is that they use the term “Mormon”. That term is no longer officially used by the Church.

While I am not a Mormon, I can only imagine how Id feel as a Christian with someone misrepresenting my faith. Actually, I DO see it a lot, but this is a whole new level. They are mormon in name only. Im so sorry, Mormons 😢

As an inactive member of the church, this is disturbing. These women follow none of the teachings regarding the church, they drink, commit adultery which is listed twice in the commandments, and live nothing that would affiliate them with the LDS church. I have my own qualms with the church but I still live a life mostly aligned with their teachings and I would never claim to be an active member of the church. This show will completely misrepresent a community of amazing people within the church and I really hope viewers understand that this show will have nothing to do with the LDS church and its teachings.

I literally go to the hair salon that one of these women owns and Not even a little bit LDS. At least not even close to being active and a representation of us. Not even a little bit.
