AMS 5515 is a specification for type 302 stainless steel.
Nominal Chromium content is 18%
and nominal Nickel content is 9%. The SAE designation is 30302 and the UNS designation is
S30200. Common applications are for corrosion resistant components requiring high ductility for forming.
It is not recommended for welding applications. Product is in the form of Sheet, Strip, and Plate in the solution treated (aka solution annealed)
condition. For high ductility, the maximum tensile strength is 120 KSI and a minimum of 50% elongation is
