Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Downey

Firestone at Newville is closed for the fatal crash investigation. Suzanne Marques reports.

I was driving to work last weekend a jogger ran out in front of me after my light turned green. He had headphones on I slammed on brakes honked my horn continuously and he looked in the OPPOSITE direction and kept running never noticed me.

Just this morning right before sun up I was driving from Whittier to La Mirada. My car is 2021 with LED headlights & fog lights and I was doing just under the speed limit. These damn jaywalkers crossing the street in all dark clothing and walking like zombies I almost hit two different jaywalkers in two separate incidents less than 4 miles apart.

In Southern California you often see cars speed up when they see pedestrians up ahead crossing the street. Why is waiting a few nanoseconds for someone to cross so hard? I was behind a guy that almost mowed down a lady with a baby in a stroller and then kept going right through the light. When I caught up with him he was turning into the Taco Bell drive-through. About to kill people to get some artery clogging food.

I see some people have trouble driving in the street. Hit and runs are becoming a common occurrence.

Sometimes people don't care about the driver they just feel like they own the road they they or the family want to sue you for their own dumb actions we are living in a very dangerous environment now a days goes to show what Jesus said about the last day's people would be selfish and hurtful to others please be careful when you have to drive when its its darkened no matter what time it is
