Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) hepatotoxicity and its management.

This animated video illustrates the mechanisms of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) induce hepatotoxicity.
It compares the production of toxic intermediate NAPQI under both therapeutic and toxic concentration of paracetamol.
Glutathions plays important role in transforming NAPQI into water soluble no toxic metabolite that is readily excreted by the kidney
This video also explain why paracetamol induces hepatotoxicity even under normal therapeutic doses in some unfortunate people.
