As a professional in healthcare administration, I both appreciated and cringed at this informative and light-hearted video was a poignant illustration of many of the most common challenges and opportunities for improvement in healthcare delivery. Encouragingly, many healthcare organizations are developing expertise and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodology in daily operations and projects to reduce these and other sources of waste.

A very easy way to both learn and realize how waste can be present in everything that we do at work or even in our daily life!

I remember when I was a phlebotomist, always made me cringe about how many styro-foam cups both patients and staff wasted in a given time. Although I never had an exact number, I always thought there could be a more efficient and environmental way to consume fluids. When I brought it up to y manager at the time, they gave me an odd look and I decided not to pursue the idea anymore. Good video with good examples.

Typically true experience for all wastes. Rarely do you see only 2 or 3 waste events occur during a patient experience. Lots of opportunities for improvement.
