R7 very briefly can take off better but once r6 gets 10k+ in revs he walks it.

The r6 is basically a race bike designed to run in the high rpms constantly, the R7 is built and tuned for mid range torque and power to make it fun on the street

Two different bikes. One is made to race on a track and win straightaways and overtake on corners. The other is a street bike that is more comfortable

2 cylinder vs 4 R7 is all bottom end & starts shitting the bed at about 8k rpms the R6 doesnt even really wake up til 10k lol

I have a R6 absolutely love it. And I’ve had a couple rides on a R7 def liked it. Much different type of ride. But it’s was a lot of fun to ride!!

R7 is fast enough!! I’ve rode some insane bikes and I’m happy with my R7 it keeps me out of trouble and still fairly quick. Other guys have rode my bike and they say the same thing “it’s as fast as it NEEDS to be”

First time: R7: I didn’t know we were going.
Second time: R6: I didn’t know we were going.

You should make another video in Downtown Long Beach for the Long Beach Grand Prix. The city track barriers are up and would be cool to see on a full throttle run in an “open city course”

I wish the R7 came with more power. They should have atleast worked on a new intake solution similar to what the Hordpower intake does for this platform. Probably would never pass emissions though.

..after riding and maintaining bikes since 1987, people still confuse the advantages of 1, 2, and 3 cyl low-end torque monsters vs high revving high horsepower 700cc - liter bikes. Generally the low-end torque monsters are better for taking off from a stop ( like in a city ) or on a circuit track with lots of turns. High revving 4 cyls are better on a drag strip where your power comes in at the higher rev band. Hasn't changed in 36 yrs..

less cylinder= more torque. More cylinder = more top speed

Unfortunately I think R7 has nothing in common with the R6 😏

people are so funny, the R7 is in a totally different class than the R6 lol If you haven’t ridden the R7 around twisty roads/around town then you can’t hate on it. It’s so nimble and torquey. not all bikes are about going 160 in a straight line 🤡🤡 and the people talking crap most likely don’t have the money to even buy a nice bike lolol keyboard warriors are at it as always hehe love the bike man (i also have an r7)

Most of the kids in these comments don’t even ride 😂😂 just saw r7 in title and came to say R6 “iS sO mUcH fAsTEr bruh oN gOd” …No shit ….Good launch on second race man. I love my R7… even when I get my liter I’m keeping this thing.

tbh if you want something fast on the street a 600 isnt a good option because on paper 120-130 hp sounds quick but it takes 3 business days to actually get on the proper rev range to make more than 50 hp
