What confession does is free us from the weight on our shoulders. It can be so uplifting that it changes who we are into something better. You would still be you just a better version of you.

I would argue that a better passage about continual asking for forgiveness is the prayer the LORD taught His disciples. He said when you pray, indicating that each time you pray, one of the things you are to say is, "Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us."

Think about it like a relationship with another person. You screw something up, you go and admit you screwed it up and apologize. God knows what you did, but it’s our responsibility to bring it before Him so that we can receive the healing from that sin.

Here's another way to think of it. By confessing, you lay it out. You open the opportunity to be judged. You should want to be judged. In our everyday lives, it's necessary. Even your ideas have to be laid out before people can critique them. A problem can't be solved until it is put out and articulated.

The video was very well spoken. Are all my sins forgiven ? Yes. No different than if I did something wrong in my dad's house I would tell him if my crime. GOD is our father and if we commit crimes against him we should confess them. This by no means is a free license to sin. There is no forgiveness for he whom sins wilfully (plans it).
For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life 🙌

Confession is ongoing. Confession is part of daily discipline. Confession is agreeing with God that I have fallen short of His glory.
